Hi,
:) I Just Had To Post and say, What a Sharp Beetle, I Just love it, that is a dream car of mine, maybe someday I Will Have one? I Learned how to drive in an old school beetle, first time I drove one I was 12.
I Love my New Beetle, and can't stop driving it, just looking for a reason to go in it.
Thanks for showing us your car.

Ahh, air-cooled engines. Brings back memories. Live was a kit simpler with only a 10mm and 13mm wrench.

Awesome color combo. And to have the wide wheels and sport bug steering wheel. Well that's just flat out cool. Not you gotta find the sport bug seats.

Thanks for all the kind words, gang! Recently, I had the number plate changed from NSEKT, to INSECT. But people still ask me what it means, LOL.
I really miss the ORG and my New Beetle groupies! Luckily, the MINI owners are just as crazy!

We miss you too, Steve. :(
I just want to add, I have never seen an air-cooled Beetle in that color. Is it stock?

thanks! I do miss it here ... if the 2.0T motor makes it way into the NBC, I may be back in the family when my MINI lease ends.
The grey color is not a stock color for '73, but was rare in 1958. Shephard Grey Metallic. It really turns heads, but is starting to show age ... I have to decide what to do about that this Spring!
Happy holidays, all!!!

Beautiful car and it is remarkable that you have retained so much of the OEM stuff intact. Yes, those wheels are getting harder and harder to find; so, if anybody is looking for the exact rims, I have four that were powder coated and are for sale. If anyone is interested send me a PM.
