Hesitation in 1st Gear

Ok, i don't know if this is a problem or not. sometimes when i accellerate from a complete stop, my transmission is a little hesitant and i have to give it more gas than others. is this an indication of a problem with my transmission or just normal?

Auto or manual?

it's a manual. i thought for a while it was just me and the way i drive, but i've let friends who know a bit about cars drive it and they've had the same problem.

I had the same issue....It was a dirty MAF sensor...cleaned up the MAF sensor with CRC's MAF sensor cleaner spray, and it disappeared.
