In my searches for wedding contracts, found a very helpful and interesting free e-book about Wedding Photography for the new Photographer. It's a .pdf so you'll need Adobe's Acrobat reader (http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html) already installed.
THE NEW WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHERS HANDBOOK (http://www.aljacobs.com/NEW%20WEDDING.pdf)
Al Jacobs has a good sense of humour too. Here is a small sample of a photo checklist:
PRIOR TO CEREMONY
> Girls getting dressed, doing hair and makeup (knocking on door is optional so you can really get some good stuff)
> Bride alone in mirror, singing “mirror, mirror on the wall, who is the fairest one of all?”
> Mirror cracking.
> Mother helping Bride adjusting dress and fighting back the daughter’s tears.
> Bride not happy about those two pounds.
> Shoe Shots (PJ) Bow Shots, Bra shots, T-back shots. Special Hair Shots when hairspray ignites.
> Mother adjusting bride’s veil seeing if two layers helps
If you are interested in Wedding photography, or just a bride or groom looking for more information about Wedding photographers, I highly recommend this free e-book.
Be sure to visit the rest of Al Jacobs (http://www.aljacobs.com/) website.
