turbo 2.0

Is it possible to put a turbo from a 1.8 onto my 2.0? i found a cheap one, but i want to make sure it will work before i invest in it.

I don't believe so, there is the whole ECU thing, and the difference in engine size, but I cannot say for sure. There are companies that make a Turbo for a 2.0 however.

It is possible, a lot of people have swaped their engines to VR6 engines, a turbo engine, I would thin it's smaller than a VR6, anyway here's a link from the Vortex http://www.vwvortex.com/artman/publish/article_1513.shtml

There is an aftermarket supercharger that retro fits on the 2.0 liter engine. I do not recall what HP gains are possible..
With the 2.0, I would be very hesitant to boost this engine much at all as this is a normally built engine that is not over built to handle the increase in stress to the head, valves and pistons with connecting rods and crank bearings..

well i was saving for an aftermarket kit that cost like 2000 but then i realized i was only half way there and i'd have to pay to get it put in too. so i started spending the money. bought a hood though
