I purchased used (luckily certified - so has 2 year, 24K warranty) 2001 turbo beetle. I have had a progressively increasing loud, low grade rumbling. When traveling on the highway, I have to turn up the radio. When I turn the steering wheel even slightly left or right, the noise lessens. It's going to the dealership (whom I have not had the best of service from...) on Thurs - but any ideas? I've heard CV boots, engine mount? Thanks v. much! DB.
