I am new to newbeetle.org and wondered if anyone knows where to get parts at a cost that would be less than my dealership?
Someone has cut both of my side mirrors off of my car.
Tis sad...but true. I can't even imagine anyone doing something so ugly to a beautiful little bug.
I would appreciate any direction anyone can provide. Thanks so much!!

Do you have car insurance? It will probably be worth the deductible. That way, they take care of finding the parts, and getting it fixed, right. :(
Good luck to you. I'm sad to hear of your theft/vandalism. Why, why, why?

Hi Dnyed
Thanks for your effort of help.
Yes, I have insurance and my deductible is 500 dollars. That is the cost of one of the mirrors. They cut off both of them, but I hate to make a claim in case I have a real need for one. Knock on wood...hoping that will be never!
What I am hoping to find, is something to sustain my safe viewing ability until I can direct the thousand dollars toward the purchase of factory mirrors. I refuse to do this until my husband cleans out the garage and makes room for my car. It just appears to me....if I get new mirrors and the car continues to be parked in the driveway...I just create a ready target for another rotten act of crime.
The police in our town told me many European vehicles were targeted because young people want to make their American cars look *Euro*. Apparently this is a trendy thing to do....at others expense and pain.:(
Thanks again for the help.
