First of all I have 'Robbie'

More pics of him can be found on the Bug pics forum.... but Robbie has 6 brothers and 1 sister too!
Bertie: I've had Bertie since September 2000, and he was my first car and taught me to drive, he was 'born' on 13th April 1971 and has a 1300cc engine to power him along. He failed his MOT in May 2003, so is currently waiting for us to get round to restoring him, but in the mean time looking quite sorry for himself, but making a rather useful shed!.

Oscar: We bought Oscar a couple of years ago locally. He's a late 72 Devon Bay, but we've sinces replaced the interior. He was orange and white, with 1 layer of blue hammerite slapped over the top when he bought him. As you can imagine, he looked terrible! So we hand painted him blue and yellow, which looks ok from a distance ;) Oscar's currently on the 'resto' list:

Joey: We bought Joey in March 2004 as our first resto project. We've learnt to weld with him, and learnt a lot! He's about 80% of the way through his resto, with only a small amount of welding to be done - then it's on to the mecanical bits and paint! Hopefully he'll be on the road in spring 2006! You can see pics etc of his full resto here: http://www.volkszone.com/VZi/showthread.php?t=134370

Ted: is a 61 Split was bought off a crazy 71yr old bloke called 'Ted' in Australia in Spring 2005 (and my dad then named the bus after him), who was starting his music career (I'm using the phrase 'career' lightly) at 71. We have an album he did called 'Chookshed Ted' and his 'hit' goes on about putting chicken poop on his head to grow hair... he's like an Australian Wurzel! Anyway, he had the bus for 7-12yrs (depending on which day you talked to him on), and for most of that time, it had sat under a car port type thing waiting for him to get round to restoring it. There is very little in the way of rust.

Skippy: My dad has named the 73 Bay 'Skippy' (we now have a Skippy and a Joey... ). It was bought off the same bloke in Australia (Ted). Apparently it's a 'Sopru' conversion. It's got a rock and roll bed, a hob, a fridge etc. It's very solid, and I could hardly find any rust! He's also the only one who is actually roadworthy! He'll be for sale once we've got Joey on the road:

Bella: A 1958 Bug who was owned by a bloke called Mark from Liverpool (it's a small world!) who'd moved out to Australia, where we bought her in Spring 2005 to ship back. She has a few wrong bits on it, like the rear lights and front indicators (shouldn't have any because she has semaphores):

And finally Widget: Widget is the baby of the family. We picked him up last Wednesday (1st March 06) brand new. Widget is a T5 (Transporter) with a 2.5l 172bhp TDi engine. He goes like stink! :D Very fast! He should be getting a few more additions in the future :)
