Will the Dodge Hornet be based on the VW Polo?
In October, Leftlane News reported that Chrysler was considering building a Dodge vehicles based on the Volkswagen Polo. Later, Volkswagen and Chrysler announced they would partner on a minivan project. In February, Chrysler unveiled the Dodge Hornet Concept, which it said would be a low-cost b-segment vehicle. Earlier this month, we reported that production of the Hornet hinges on partnerships to reduce costs and keep the price around $10,000. So is the Hornet Dodge's Polo? We think it might be…

that dodge definitely loox euro... which is odd in the first place. but it's definitely not a polo. the states never gets anything cool. :(

It looks like a Scion XB with an agressive body kit.

I don't like it at all.

and

I don't believe the $10,000 -give or take price tag.

Thats an interesting looking concept, it does look like an angry xB. I bet Dodge CAN make a $10,000 car given Chevy can make a $10,000 car (called the Cobalt).

The Cobalt isn't a $10,000 car though. The Aveo may be what you were referring to...as it has similar looks and size. The Aveo is not manufactured in North America either. Hyundai and Kia also manufacture $10,000 cars and they sell like hotcakes on the West Coast......and have good reputations. I like what I see though.

Yes, you are right it is the Aveo... I don't know why I thought it was the cobalt.

Good. Now VW can just bring over the damn Polo which is what they should have done in the first place.
