For the ride back to my house, PHOTO drove StudBug, my son Zac rode shotgun, I drove Photos NB, Mike went with Bill in the 'vert, and Cowboy Kenny and Dennis took my Turbo S! :bowdown:

Zac says "Pretty cool!" Kenny says "Wow! That car has a lot of power!" :lol:

I'll second the notion that Cowboy Kenny is a nice guy. Very cool guy, yet crazy at the same time!

I don't what was cooler, seeing Studbug, or meeting Kenny. Certainly a day I will remember for a long time. :goodjob:

The night was great indeed. I even got to drive STUDBUG back from dinner! I was supprised when Deb turned down the offer. It was fun to drive! Kenny, Dennis and Mike are all great guys. I too did not know the extreme of their celebrity status. It was pretty funny to hear Kenny tell a story about getting into a ford focus after one of his races and say this thing is pretty peppy. I'm sure all race car drivers think the daily driver is faster than their race car.:rolleyes:

The reason I declined to drive STUDBUG from dinner was that if there was an accident, I was NOT gonna be the one to do it! Sooo, I drove your car instead...... :lol:

That, and I just wanted to SEE the car driving! Zac was thrilled, and thank you for letting him ride shotgun! Even if it was for a short, memorable time.

I am thrilled that you got that opportunity. I know I'm still on a cloud! Congrats! :clap:

How was the fit Steven?

I thought the seats were nice. Not cushy by any means, but a lot more comfortable than I expected. I certainly wouldn't want to spend 10 hours in it like Kenny and Dennis are going to do.

IIRC, it's only got like 14000 (or was it 36000?) miles on it. (But we both know how good my memory is, huh Kevin!) :o :lol:

Nope. I pushed on it a bit, but it is still loose in there. :confused: Maybe when Mad Mike checks into this thread, he can shed a bit more light on it. (Pun intended!) :D

I am still on the cloud nine. Yesterday was the best day I have had in so many moons! Mad Mike is just about the nicest person I have ever met, and I hope he comes back to race.
The last time we met, in 2003, he was busy, you know, rally car racing and all that. It was nice to get to spend a little time with him. Mad Mike, you're the best! :kiss:

I have never seen such a crazy "Type A" personality in real life before. Cowboy Kenny is that one! :D

I asked Kenny about the picture on page two, of him on the motorcycle in the air. I told him, I know it was just the angle of the pic, but it looked as if he was 80 feet in the air! He laughed, and said, I only go 20, maybe 30 feet. I told him, I was wondering about the landings! He said, probably hmmmmm 99% are "good" landings. :lol:

Finally, Kenny and StudBug came around the corner at the start of the race! :party:

He took it a little wide, and almost hit a rock, but was able to recover, and zoom off safely!

Kenny went by here wearing his cowboy hat. I overheard another group of spectators say, "What in the world is wearing a cowboy hat for?"

I schooled them on who he was, and they were "Whoa! That was Cowboy Kenny???!!!! He's famous!!!!"

Just an FYI. The bumper is the original blue one, repainted with the orange. Mike said it covered all the chips nicely, and also, people will be able to see him coming! :lol:

Wow Debbie! Looks like a great series of get togethers! I didn't realize the Oregon Trail Rally was so early this year. Last time it was in June or so. I probably could have made it down for some of the festivities! :( Oh well there's next year. The spectator stage at PIR would've been something to see.

Justin, Steven, I am not mad at you. Heck, I am not mad at anyone.

Just a little disappointed at some of the "locals". I'm talking about the Saturday rally start. The apathy shown was appaling. I tried hard to get some interest, had some promises, and no shows. Our beloved Mad Mike, our beloved StudBug, new drivers Kenny and Dennis. They should have had more NB fans there to cheer them on. Shame on you, Portland. :(

Frankly, it's embarrassing to be the only one from our area.
