I had a blast this morning and wanted to post right away to share with you all... Anna (pumpkinbug) convinced me to join them in Anthem today to go on the Phoenix2Flagstaff cruise. I wasn't able to complete the trip because I had a family event that I had to attend, but I went over there because Anna didn't have her color concept snap anymore and New Beetles needed to be there!!! So I went with my boyfriend Justin, and we took "BB" (all nice an washed) and met up with Anna and her other half, Jim with their new Golf (Jims Beetle stayed at home). The cruise met up with us, and you should have seen all the great Volkswagens!!! There were quite a few brand new GTIs and r32s, so it was pretty fun...

I was glad Anna convinced me to come, at the Anthem meetup, there wereonly four beetles, including me. A brand new 'vert in Shadow Blue, a Plantum Grey and then a White beetle that had a VR6 engine (breezy want! breezy want!)

So I am so glad that we at least went to the meet up point and then drove with them for about an hour before we had to head back... I was having so much fun I forgot to take pictures, I have a few... but I wanted to get some shots of Anna and her new golf, and her new window decals... "make friends with your slow" and then also her www.phoenixVW.org. I have a new sticker on my drivers side, back side window that says "driver found".

Anyways, it was a great event, and I wish I could have finished with cruise and joined the BBQ. Next time, my boyfriend said we are going to do the whole cruise from Tucson to Flagstaff (He must be liking my VW over his Honda!!! hehehe)

We tried to get in the front of the line, so we could be passed on the cruise (ummm because I was like the slowest car there :( ) But it didn't work as planned, thats okay, we had lots of hot rear ends to stare at:

This was my beetles first outing, and it was a blast and BB drove great, its like she knew she had to stand up to the memory of my jetta ;) little BB did a great job, and Ill make sure to be able to take part in the whole cruise next time with her!!!

Ugh! I am being lazy. Maybe tomorrow, I have tomorrow off. ;)

And of COURSE youre not chubby, you goon. I think the Golf is kind of like that boring sad thing that follows you home and youre like... WTF... but I guess I dont mind. I got 34 mpg this tank thanks to the 2 hours of 105+ mph driving downhill. I have yet to hit 40 mpg, but hey. I just got it what.. only 1000 miles ago? I got time.
