Just got the reply from Haynes Publishing regarding future NB manuals. Here is my email and their reply:

At 09:50 AM 4/29/2006, you wrote:

I notice that you folks do not list a service manual for VW New
Beetle and/or NB Convertibles after year 2000. What are your plans
for current NB and NBC models?

Thank You,

Tom Lloyd

Dear Sir:

All our manuals are based on projected sales and as of this time
this vehicle does not meet our criteria but hopefully in the
future.

Thank you for your interest in Haynes Manuals.

Yeah, I guess Robert Bentley must be a non-profit organization...

Doesn't Bentley do the factory manuals for VW? So they are already publishing manuals for all VW models.

But, yeah I know what you mean.

Honestly having looked at many a Haynes manual for VW products, it is nothing more than an abridged version of the Bentley, even down to many of the pictures. So I'm curious why they just don't do the same thing for newer model NB's and NBC's.

Bentley only makes the CD version and they too have no plans for a hard copy manual. That's why I asked Haynes about a hard copy manual.

My printed copy of the Bentley manual covers 98-2003. I don't think much has really changed to be honest, not from 2003-2005, a 2006 manual is needed.

SMG;

I did not know that Bentley had a manual covering the 2003. All I've seen goes up to 2002. Does it cover the 2003 NBC and what is the publication number?

Are there any options out there at all, other than a 5 finger discount while rummaging around the VW shop? :D Looking for something for a 06 TDI Beetle.

The Bentley CD is all I know about.
