Default Dent removal and tow thingy section

Hi everyone,

I got my oil changed at Don Valley VW the other day, and they washed the car, which was nice.

Anyway, I noticed a quarter-sized dent on my passenger door! I'm pretty sure it's from a parking lot ding, or perhaps even someone who kicked the door. The car had been dirty due to all the recent snowfall in the GTA.

Any recommendations as to where I can get the dent pulled? I'm also missing the tow hook circle thingy on the front bumper. There are no signs of vandalism, so maybe it popped out when I drove through the on-ramp barriers left by the snowplows?

Is it safe to leave it uncovered until I return the car a couple of years from now?

Thanks again for any help you can provide.

I don't believe having the cover on the tow hook missing will hurt anything. Don't quote me on that though. You may just have to remove snow and gunk built up over time. As far as the dent they have lots of fix a dent stuff in the stores. And what i found seems to work best....a plunger! Put it over the spot where it's dented, push in and pull just like if you were using it in the bathroom. May take a few tries but it usually works. Though if it's a small dent it may not work as well, but it's free and worth a shot.

Ha ha, I'll try that - but with a NEW plunger first!

I definitely think you're correct about the tow cover; nothing vital that I can see.

Ah, yes, do use a new plunger...maybe sharpie it to say "Dent Remover" so you don't get them confused. lol

I'm sure you could find a tow cover for yours if you looked at a junk yard. maybe...it's worth a shot. lol

See if Frisco have a tow hook cover. They have 3 locations in the GTA: Scarborough, Etobicoke and North York. If they don't have a new one, speak to the used parts dept.
Are you sure that dent was there before DVVW?

Definitely. I'm thinking back and there was one windy day at Square One and even as I sat in the car waiting for a friend, 2-3 car doors flew my way. 1 guy didn't see me in the car and pretended nothing happened until I lowered the window and yelled at him.

The other two were teenagers and they definitely got caught in a gust of wind. They were very apologetic. Eh, I'm not particularly worried. I had a few minor dents and scratches on my Mini and the appraisers said not to worry. Just aesthetics, otherwise!
