The following details what you need to know about this years full weekend events at 25th Annual June Jitter Bug 2011 sponsored by Mothers Wax

Camping is being held at Campark Resorts www.campark.com
There are many hotels along lundys lane to choose from.

...Friday night is the drive in at the Canview Drive In
Highway 20 & Kottmeleier Road, Fonthill, ON L0S 1E0

Friday nights drive in Movie is Cars 2

The Movie night is Hosted by the Volks R Us Car Club and there will be Prizes Handed Out for cars in attendance.

Saturday morning is the Johns Bug Shop open house in welland ontario @ 1 Southworth Street North, Welland, ON L3B 1X8 (905) 735-2847

The Saturday cruise WILL START AT JOHNS BUG SHOP in welland @ (TIME TO BE ANNOUNCED),

** THE SATURDAY CRUISE WILL NOT START AT FIREMANS PARK **

The cruise will end at firemans park for a free bbq put on by JOHNS BUG SHOP (more details to follow)

Sunday 25th Annual June Jitter Bug Weekend 2011 sponsored by Mothers Wax

Gates open at 9am for all show cars

Vendors will be able to enter and the normal time.

ALL SHOW CARS THAT WISH TO BE JUDGED SHOULD BE READY FOR JUDGING AS THEY ENTER THE MAIN GATE.

Judging lanes will only be open for cars as they enter this years show, once you are judged you will then be able to park your car, this is the only way that we will be able to get thru all the judging in a timely fashion and allow to get the awards under way ON TIME.

Judging will take place first thing as you enter the gates.
This will cause a major back log of cars waiting to get in for sure.
I'm not liking that at all. It's gonna suck big time.
I'll either arrive there very early in the morning or I will probably not even go at all because of this.

If that is how they wanna roll I aint gonna go. I sure as hell am not parking on the street!

That sucks that the judging is as you roll in ... If you are just coming off the highway, your car might be covered in bug guts ... yuck.

I don't even think I can go. I'm pretty sure that my nephew is being baptized that day.

Hi Guys,

Not sure where the VWVortex is getting there info on that judging at the gate, I looked on John's bug shop's website and didn't see anything like that on there.

Either way this is always an awesome show, and I likely wouldn't win anyways. this is one show I hate to miss. I agree this will slow things down if they do the judging at the gate, let's just hope they don't do that!

Hope I can make it, and hopefully we can organize a cruise down like last years!

You know for me, it's not even about the judging either. I'm not too concerned about that really. But, this is a very big show and a lot of people come from all over. I just don't want to be idling and waiting. I do that everyday already on the 401 coming home from work.

Oh, I remember them saying "if you want your car to be judged then you will have to bring it to us rather than us going around to you." but, I don't see this working out. If they make us park in our zones. Then they call our class. You know how all the cars are arranged in the park. It would be pretty crazy moving different classes around to a judging area and back again. The new beetle class is usually pretty small. There were 6 of us or something like that so, that was pretty easy. Can you imagine those Rabbit's and Jetta's. . . .In the hundreds!!

If I could get in without the judging part. Maybe I'll consider going but we're not sure how their doing it
I'd rather get in, park it and chill. Just like before!!

If their concerned about time then, they should let us "the people" vote like other shows so, they don't have to

I agree 100%, I don't expect my car to win anything anytime soon, but I don't want to be stuck in general public parking either.

Not sure what to say, or what to do?

Maybe I'll try e-mailing John's bug shop tomorrow and see what he thinks will be happening.

I am up for a cruise down with everyone.... I was going to stay the whole weekend but I have changed my mind :P We should leave pretty early tho that way we aren't stuck on the main street

Well as stated above,
The judging will be as soon as you enter, with no time to detail the cars.
The woman I was talking to suggested to clean your car before entering the park. So dumb.
The reason I am really agrivated is because this is the largest VW show in Ontario. And this has pretty much ruined my obsession with this show, now I am undecided on whether I want to attend or not.

Well, I was pretty much out from the begining with hopes of changing my mind but, now I'm out for sure.
Honestly, I hope the turn out is bad now because of this and that they may learn from this. Maybe next year, they'll do the right thing.

I'm out too. I would rather just go and be allowed to enter and park for a fee and not be judged so we can just hang out. But you know they will not let you enter the park if you are not a judged car so you will be stuck parking in the dusty parking lot (yes six angry faces!)
