Default Calgary : Moving help needed... (no heavy lifting required)

Well;

Hopefully the thread title didnt scare anyone off, I am moving this week and am scrambling to try and get my hands on some 4-5 gallon pails with lids.

I have two aquariums fully stocked that I need to tear down and move to the new place...

Anyone have some spare pails? or happen to own and icecream shop where I can score big time?

I am looking for 4 or 5 pails with lids...

James

You could try some bakeries also grocery stores I think frosting comes in those too. Also some kitty litter comes in tubs I'm sure you could use. Good luck

I've tried a few bakeries (Tim Hortons Doughnut shops) and ran into a few sympathetic managers who also have aquariums.

However.. none of them so far have had any buckets..

Actually i was trying to figure out places you could get the stuff. I can only think of bakeries, same as what you're seeing. What about bagel shops? Not sure if you have those up there or not. I know we always had em when i worked at them back in the day.

About 8 blocks from Rundle.. to Rundle

Found ourselves a nicer place as we were growing out of our 3 bedroom 1/2 duplex and graduated into a 3 bedroom 1600 sqft 4 lvl split.

Finally a place large enough to entertain! as our old home was only about 800 sq ft.

What about some coolers? Then you could have a lid that kept it all from splashing?

How 'bout some of them Home Depot Nascar 5 gal buckets...not sure if they have lids though.

Pickles come in 5 gallon buckets as well...but probably might hurt the fishies.

Yeah, I've tried a few fast food joints as well looking for their pickle containers, sadly none of them had them.

Or they just didnt know the answer so they said they didnt...

As to the 5 gallon buckets from home depot, I've looked online and am trying to get away from buying them for 7$ a shot as I'd need 4 or 5 of em.

Did you get any buckets James?
The offer still stands if you need to borrow some of our rubbermaid bins.

I was going to mention that Home Depot sells orange buckets, but I don't know about lids. Looks like you're set, 'tho.

I am a new member to the forum. Just picked up a 2000 1.8T and love it, however I am glad to see a local group.

Are there regular meets? Any feedback on decent repair shops? Glad to be part of the forum and I look forward to learning many new things.
