Default aftermarket cd changer install

I've got a pioneer cd changer, the type that hooks into a fm modulator so that I don't have to do any real mod's to the electrical etc.
what's the best way to get to the back of the factory deck. I know it's a stupid question but I really hate pulling a panel of to find out that all the plastic clips just shattered. I'll have a few more questions about this but that's the first thing I'll need to know to get started.

In order to get to the back of the radio you need to pull it from the dash with removal tools. You can certainly remove the surrounding dash components but that won't get you to the radio connectons.
