i haven't checked yet but i explained the problem to another dub owner and he said more that likely it is a fuse.

Is it possible that you're locked out? This would happen if the car battery was changed or failed. You'd need the security code to get it unlocked.

today i plugged my cell charger into the outlet and it wouldn't light up...and with the stereo not working i was slighty concerned especially because the fuse for the stereo is in the back and i didn't have the keys...

so i popped into the dealership and grabbed some keys and pulled it out and popped in the new stereo (out of a friends beetle) and it worked.

the guys in the shop said it must have just been a bad stereo...none of the buttons worked and I was planning on replacing it...I guess ady decided it was time to get the new one in.
