Default VW Going Sirius Satellite Radio Only

According to Business Week VW and Sirius made an exclusive deal offering only Sirius Satellite in their vehicles

"Another case of one-upmanship: in March, Volkswagen said it would install only Sirius radios into its autos, ending a four-year arrangement whereby it worked with both satellite players."

YEah - I had a couple from my car club that test drove an EOS recently and they mentioned that you could only get Sirius...that came as a surprize to me because they had that Satellite Blue with XM.

Yeah, this came out awhile ago. Both VW and Audi will only carry Sirius next year.

While I have Sirius and do want it in my next car, I think consumers should have a choice. GM only carries XM, and it tooks years for someone to come out with a device that will easily switch GMs from XM to Sirius. I'm sure they'll have something soon for VW/Audi.

maybe there will be a portable satellite unit we can plug into the IPOD connection or run through the 12 V plug in ha... I'd probably get Sirius because of Rolling Stones Radio (big fan) but I agree, having the choice is better. If VW wants to push Sirius charge 10% more for XM then, but keep both available

ANY satellite radio is better than no satellite radio. I have both XM and Sirius in different cars. Doesn't really matter. I only listen to the music channels, so the music is the same.
