Unhappy help me about tape

Hello everyone
Please help me about my new beetle's tape. My NB is 2003 TDI and has a tape cassete player only but I want to change it. But I don't want to lose its orginality. Please tell me.
If I bought a cd changer which is also mp3 player. Is it possible to suit my tape or not? And is the 2006 new beetle's cd/mp3 player could be assembled for my bug?

There are adapters that will fit around an aftermarket CD/MP3 player that'll conform to the rounded edges. As for an '06 VW deck fitting into an '03, I don't know.

I have an aftermarket CD changer that works through an RF adapter in my car. Basically, I can use the stock tape player, then tune the radio to a certain station, ad hear the cd changer.

There are a few options.

You can get an OEM CD/MP3 to replace your tape deck, just be sure to get the right one, there are 2 different versions.

You csn get a PhatBox system, it is a hard drive MP3 system that goes where the CD Changer would fit and plugs right in and is controlled by your radio.

You can get a one of the line in or Ipod adapters that use the CD changer input and use an Ipod or some othe device.

If you're wanting to get a cd/mp3 player, and keep your tape player, you will either have to get a cd changer that mounts someplace else, or get the ipod connector that he was talking about.

If you don't mind living without a tape player than you can get the vw cd/mp3 player that goes in the same place your tape player is. It will look almost exactly the same just it will have a cd slot instead of the tape slot.

You should be able to go to the vw dealership at the parts department and find one there, or you can find one on here everyonce and awhile, and there's always ebay .
