Default Pic's of a spare tire well sub install and Kick pannel speaker install

Are there any pics out there of this? I cant fit a spare over the brakes I want so out with the spare!!! Im going to put a sub there. I have done some Fiberglass speaker work before so I am good there.. I just want a idea of what to shoot for... also has anyone done kick pannel speakers in a bug? I want a nice image so im thinking kickpannel speakers is my best bet..

a few people come to mind. my favorite setup probably has to be in EVZBUG. Although that's not really a spare tire location setup.

1badnb on the old org has a spare tire setup that was pretty cool too.

I also really like JJ's setup in his jetta. I dont think there are any pics on the dubaudi website, but he's got 3 w3's in the spare tire location.

I know i liked another one that was in a yellow bug, i htink there were 2 subs in the spare tire location in a yellow bug from massachusetts, but i cantthink for the life of me who it was.

There's also the TVA bug with a major Audiobahn system in it. But i think it's way over the top for what your looking for.

I would just wing it, go with what you know and build it your own way.

Whatever you do, I know it'll definaltey... gimme some of your grumblecakes, and please dont grumble shake, dont make a grumble mistake. Let me see you grumble down!

Don't want to change the subject, but what 5 x 100 "mini-spare" can we get for the NB? Almost broke my back pulling the gigantor spare from my vert trunk, probably weighs 50+ pounds.

LOL Bill...

When I was a teen, my mom taught me how to change a flat. years later, I finally got a flat and I went to change the tire, and I couldnt get the spare out of the trunk. GET THIS, it was a DONUT that came with my VR6 GLX Jetta. LOL. So now that BB has a full size spare, I prob. will just call my tow plan or my boyfriend or if someone gets the tire out for me, I can handle it.

So the only time I touch the spare is to check the tire pressure every few weeks.

The vert has a tiny trunk opening and there's a 'hump' under the tire where a knob w/bolt, that goes thru the center, attaches to hold down the tire. It was VERY difficult to lift the tire over the hump then pull it up and out of the trunk at the same time. No way my wife could have done it. Doesn't the Audi TT have a small spare that would fit?

The TT spare it the way to go. its a space saver style. you can get them on EBAY or from some of the all VW or Audi junkyards.. plus they fit the big TT front rotors that the stock 15-16 will not. The trick is to use your stock foam jack holder and it will keep the carpet from saging into the spare tire well...if not anything over 8lbs will bend the carpet and fall into the well.. I have had a TT spare in my old GTI for years but never used it... lucky I guess.. my bug on the other hand has had 2 flats... crapy stock goodyears...

Hey thanks for the props! I've been away from the 'org for so long because I have not done anything to my car this year. Speaking of spare tires, I have a Porsche inflatable spare tire that fits over my ginormous brakes. It is SO much easier to get out of the trunk than the full-size spare, but you have to have an adaptor for the Porsche bolt pattern.

BTW, are you a member of any of the New England VW clubs or do you ever go to any of the shows around here?
