Bump to the top

I'm new to the board here. I just went through the audio section and stumbled on this. Does anybody know where to find something like this? It's looks pretty cool. I don't know if I'd do it, but you never know.

Japan

http://www.bugsgogo.com/

He can get anything in Japan and ship to the US - I think ht now accepts credit cards.

Here is another source....
http://www.fob-schrank.com/

Again, if you can find it on that website you can send an email with a link to Bugs a Go Go and they can give you a quote.

FOB Schrank will not export to US - you need to go through Bugs a Go-Go.

Well, I just got an email from bugs a go go. A day late on that one. I guess there wasn't a lot of demand. Here is what it said
Quote:
Dear Mr.Jonathan,
Thank you for your e-mail.
We sell to overseas, and we accept VISA, Master and Amex.
However TV fitting panel kit is no longer available.
Because, the maker disappeared...
We were sold out in it, too sorry.

Best Regards,
Koji Endo
Anybody else have any ideas if another maker is building this?

I am willing to start to produce this piece if there is enough interest in it.
Who really wants it? just estimating it would probably be about $200 shipped in the US ready to paint. the price could go down if the more items we can surely get rid of.

thanks

greg

The maker 'disappeared' cuz he didn't sell enuf of 'em cuz it's fugly.

A much better idea would to create a hidden one-touch flip-up compartment in the top of the center console. A lot of people put video screens in the sun visors now anyway.

I've seen people do hidden LCD installs that pop up out of the upper center console.... like this guy who also installed a Mac-Mini in place of his stock stereo...

The entire write up is at his site...

Mac Install

I really like that install. I put a screen in the hole from the headliner sunglasses holder for non-sunroofed beetles. it looked really good and not that hacked up.

Funny when you're dead how people start listening...
