Default iPod2Car & -12v Grounds

I just purchased 2n hand an iPod2Car kit so I can run my iPod thru the stock Monsoon Deck in my 2001TDI Beetle. Question I have is the cable it appears has two black wires that show little tags on them with the note -12v Ground. When I pop my Monsoon out hoping there is enough room for me to place this iPod2Car in the under dash area, where can I connect these two black wires that need the -12v ground? Can someone tell me what to look for so I can do it right. This iPod2Car means I unplug the cd changer cable and it will no longer run and this little iPod2Car box then connects to my radio and cable connectors but the two -12v Ground have me worried I will need to find a place to connect those or splice in.

If you also have an iPod2Car, what did you mount the iPod2Car box to under the dash? Or does it just dangle?

Thanks

tj

There should be a black ground wire hooked into the back of the radio that you can splice into. But really all you need is to find a bolt or screw that goes into the firewall and run the wire to that, use a spade connector, loosen the bolt and slide it underneath the head, then tighten it back down.
