What an idiot I can be. I buy a '05 CD-player head unit for the Monsoon system in my new (to me) '02 Turbo S, swap 'em out, and realize I've now got standard Beetle deep blue LCD lighting instead of the industrial light grey scheme in the Turbo S. Now at night the radio is a mismatch with the instrument cluster and the time/temp readouts. Not a huge deal, but I'd rather it be correct.
Has anyone ever changed LCD colors in these Delco units? Since I still have my original cassette unit, I probably have the parts to accomplish a switch, but have little idea if it's do-able by a layman. Thanks in advance. |
