Default cd player broke

my cd player broke. what gives? won't accept cd's anymore. anyone have this problem?

it's not too common a problem with VW head units, but it does happen, the rubber belt or the nylon gear that drives that mechanism, either seized, came off or is stripped. if you listen closely when you try inserting a CD does it make a mechanical noise like a little electric motor is running?

there is no noise at all. you stick the cd in and it just sits there. like the cd plater doesn't recognize the cd.

throw it out, and replace with an aftermarket head unit. or I can send you mine for $50cad+ shipping...it's been used for 9 days
