Default Help Newbie With Factory Cd?

My wife recently bought a used '04 Beetle and it only came with an AM/FM cassette deck. We want to swap in either a factory single CD HU or an in-dash changer, but I am having a hell of a time finding such available online. Is the dealer our only option? I know I could buy better aftermarket deck, but my wife is a stickler for everything "matching". Please help if you have info...

Thanks,

NB Newbie

You can always try eBay, people sell their players because they have switched it with an aftermarket HU.

I bought mine from a forum member that upgraded to an aftermarket head unit.

Be sure to get the 4 digit radio code w/the player.

Check ebay or forums, dealership is another option.

These tend to come up on eBay quite frequently (you can probably find one within a week or so). 2 things I would watch for would be #1: the code has to be included, or you'll need the dealer to get it for you - they'll charge you $$$. #2: get the correct unit (as in Monsoon or non-Monsoon, whatever's appropriate for your bug model).
