Default cd changer from oem autosound

gotta have tunes!

I called the VW dealer and they want around 600 big bucks for a factory cd changer for the 2001 NB.

Has anyone dealt with OEM autosound? or know anything about the cd changers they have for sell?

I have checked in the trunk of Beetle Bug and found the 4 digit code for the Monsoon stereo- it's not in the owner's manual. Plus, my stereo is equipped for the cd changer, it displays "no changer" when I press the CD button. and... I found the connector to the cd changer behind a plastic compartment in the trunk on the driver's side.

You can buy a changer off eBay. They come up pretty often, and def. aren't $600.

Thanks for your replies. Definitely interested, just gotta wait till after Christmas before I can make the big purchase. So please let me know if you have not sold your cd changer by then, and we'll see what we can work out.

The cd changers at OEM Autosound cost around $200 and something.
