Default Rear Speakers - Low volume

I have a 1999 TDI bug, I just installed 2 sets of 6 ½ in 2 way (6012si) Infinity speakers. The front pair work great, the rear have very low volume, they are identical pairs.

I have an aftermarket, pioneer DEH P9300, using OEM wiring.

I was very careful making sure no wires are grounded out. I've got the bug's wiring diagram and can locate no physical device that should be limited the volume.

Any ideas?

Check the fade? It's possible you have it so all the sound is coming from the front and not equal between front/back.

Monsoon or not?

I've got the Monsoon, and that is just the way the amp is "balanced". You could try to fade more toward the rear speakers to get more sound, but then you are also using more volume to get the same levels of sound. (That is what I do at least)

BTW, the door speakers are only used for the bass frequencies.

Your best bet would be to add a 4 channel amp to fix it.

You do realize that for proper sound your rear speakers should be at a lower volume. All sound should come from in front of you and set a "stage" Rear speakers are only good for rear fill and should be turned up till you just barely hear them. Some people put separate volume knobs on rear speakers just to turn them down.

Me I don't have any rear speakers. Just two 6.5's in the doors, two 4's in the dash along with two tweeters and another set of tweeters in the stock location. One 12 in the back for bass.
