How's about this: Audison amps, MB Quart Q line speakers, JL Audio sub. Sorry, but I can't figure out how to put a link in my signature, so you're going to have to do a search.

I love evzbug's system, custom trunk goodness and custom molded in dash kit.

Altho i dont think anyone on the org can beat my headunit, clarion hx-d10. No special features, just pure sound. I miss my system.

Tube pre and amps? Tubes in a car? really? I would think the cars vibrations would set up some serious harmonics in the tubes and translate into the speakers.

Nope, no problems with harmonics. Just super clean sound. I love the rich sound of vacuum tubes. You can check out the amps at www.tubedriver.com. The preamp is a soundstream. I'm not sure what they're website is though. I cannot say enough good things about the butler tube amps. They are the best amps for car I've ever heard and I've worked in car audio for the last 8 years. I've tried most brands of high end amps and I haven't found anything I like as much.

I don't have a digital camera, but I'm sure one of my friends do. As soon as I take some pics I'll post them. Its not super bling bling, everything still looks almost stock. I got rid of my spare tire and hid my amps, cap, and xover in the spare tire well. The deck matches the color of my cluster perfectly and the eq lights up red so it matches the heater controls illumination. The sub box is just a standard jl audio ported box desighn that I had custom built. Nothing to crazy custom, just clean looks and clean sounds. I'll post pics as soon as I take them.

I now have the eclipse 6610. I used to have the eclipse 5495 but I had problems playing saved songs from the hard drive. I also have the MTX thunderform sub, but still have not connected it yet. It'll come though...

The 6610? Isn't that a double din dvd navigation unit with a 7" screen? where did you mount it?

Yup, sure is a double din. And here's how the story goes: My kenwood got half burglarized (the fool couldn't remove the headunit and tried to pry it out of the console so he ended up busting through the vents). I wanted to go a step up in my headunit and considered getting a single-din with a flip-out dvd/nav screen - but I've seen those in our cars and they just don't seem right coz they block the vents. So I had the console redone to accomodate a double din and also had the much highly desired audi TT functional center vents as well. I love the look now - It's like it was always meant to be in our cars that way - the NAV and the TT rings, I mean.

Anyway, I promise to post pics soon.

Wow, sounds trick. Can't wait to see some pics. Sucks that you got ripped off but cool you got a custom deck out of it. Any other custom work? Also who did the custom work?

Awesome! I can't wait to see the pics. I'm about to do something drastic like this, too. What did you have to move to get the double DIN to fit?

Have a Clarion 955MC head unit
Audiocontrol DQT processor with the digital dash control
Focal Polyglass 165V3 3 way components.
Midbass in the doors, midrange in the dash, tweeters in modified stock location.

Focal Polyglas 33V2 13" subwoofer
Steg K4.02 amplfier powering it all
plus 108 sq.ft of Dynamat extreme.
Where the mids will go

Mids in the panels flushed in.

Covered in 2 layers of speaker grill cloth

Woofers mounted directly to the door to avoid an internal door resonance (midbass echo) Mids and woofers were backed with MDF baffles, and dynamatted like crazyness.

Installed back grill.

head unit.

Stock modified tweeter location(before)

During

Haven't taken any more pics since I've finished. The DQT is mounted under the drivers dash, the DDC(controller for DQT is in the glovebox. Trunk isn't finished yet since I ran out of vacation days.

1 Steg K2.04 it'll give me 620Wrms for the sub and 120Wrms for the components.

One of the few 4 chanel amps that are 2 ohm mono stable.

To give you an idea, here's a pic of the amps internals
