Default VW OEM Shark Fin Antenna

I'm looking to replace my old rotted antenna base and I was looking at the oem shark fin antenna. Have any of you installed this ant on your NB?

That's way cool!!! My gasket under antenna completely rotted away... this would be a great replacement.

I have this antenna on my car, painted techno blue, but unfortunately it doesn't replace the FM antenna. It "only" contains a GPS and GSM antenna, in some cases even an antenna for remote heating functions.

So if you intend to listen to the radio, you'll need another antenna. I have installed a model that is attached to a window, on the inside of the car. I placed it at the top of the rear window which makes it invisible.

I can't remember the part# but I was told it comes on the new gti's or something like that. I originaly saw it on the vtex, some dude in Japan is selling them for $50(or was it 55)he said that they were plug & play. The one basher's probablly is talking about is the one that came on the Toureq if I'm not mistaking.

The one I have is from a 2006 Audi A3 and it's identical to the one on the Pheaton and Touareg. I haven't heard anything about the GTI antenna, but be carefull if you like listening to the radio...
