help!! 2000 beetle cd player installment

Hi there, I just bought my first new beetle 2000 and i love it! Only problem is that it came with a tape deck and I'm eager to get a cd player in there.

Questions:
has anyone installed a factory cd player in an '00 bug?
if yes, which one, non-monsoon?
anyone selling a factory non-monsoon in dash cd player that would fit in a 2000 new beetle?

Use a non-monsoon in-dash cd player ; make sure to get the radio code that matches.

Monsoon, may or maynot work well. I think FallinApartBoy made a thread where he compared a few options like that.

But I know any year (from another beetle) oem in-dash non-monsoon will work for sure.

Got one (installed) from a 2003 myself infact.

Good luck on the hunt, you'll find one if you look long enough. I wouldn't recommend paying above $150 for it; anything more is a bit excessive.
