Unhappy Factory Aux Input (CD head unit)

If you want to see the tech's at the local VW dealer go nuts....
Tell them your auxillary input doesn't work....
After hunting down your salesman to see who he had install an input for you... Then calling tech support to see if there actually is a factory installed input....
I don't know why they didn't believe me when I said it comes already in the car.....

Now I have to wait for a new plug to come in... It has been 3 weeks already and it is "on order"...

Is anyone else having problems with this input?

Run to another dealer... Quick! Especially if they can't tell you when it became a standard feature.

Default Factory connection for CD players.

All the tech. needs to do is access the audio portion with the VAG-COM scanner and check that the coding for CD players is set to 06403. It is very possible that the setting is coded 06401 which would be the code for no CD player. You can also reduce the bass response of the radio head unit by changing the code to 00403. This is usefull when bass heavy amps are used and your speakers cannot adequatly respond..You just hear this low vibration.. Probably the 06403 is the correct coding for you. Have you dealers service department check that code for you and change if needed.... JK
