Default I can't take it anymore. Re: NO SOUND!!!

I hit a bump a little too hard 2 months back, and my car made a *pop* noise, and there was no more sound out of the speakers.

I know it's not in "Safe Mode" b/c it turns on just fine...you can turn the "volume" to MAX/ MIN...but you don't hear a peep!! WTH??

I have a 2000 NB, no Monsoon. So what could be the problem?

I also recently Vag Com-ed the car, and there's an open circuit.

HELP!!!

Open circuit means some wires aren't connected.

Bet/hope the speaker's came unplugged in the back of the headunit.

You can get some radio keys, or use a nail file, to unhook the locks and pull the radio out; most likely the connector at the rear is undone. Hopefully. If it's still connected good; I'm not sure what sort of problem we're talking about.

I've already gotten the keys..removed the head unit. No luck.

Then, I checked the speakers which means I had to remove the door cards. Everything checked out.

:cries:

Cool

Find some old fart, like me, in your area, who has a continuity tester or knows something about electronics and have him/her check the output to the speakers...
