About to not matter with Sirius buying XM and newer units being able to work on both. Also you are about to be able to buy plans to have channels from both. Personally I like Sirius but I will say XM has a good selection also. Grab a coin and flip it, heads XM, tails Sirius, side both.

I chose XM for the great Jazz, Blues, Soul music etc., I'm sure Sirius probably has good music as well but I'm not interested in their talk broadcasts and such.

Default Sirius for Howard

I've had Sirius for almost two years now. Just got this car, and now have XM. XM has far better music stations in my opinion. Bob Dylan has a great show Sunday mornings early.

Cool

When I got my Sirius S-50 for Christmas almost two years ago, I wasn't sure that I would like it enough to keep it (and consequently went for a two year subscription for $220 +/- rather than a lifetime subscription for $400). I regretted not getting the lifetime set-up after a while but it was no longer available. It was just offered to me again last week for $400 and I jumped on it...

I can also listen to some of the Sirius music channels on my laptop through their website. I also have Directv and have a selection of XM music channels available for me to listen to...
