Default NBC Satellite Antenna location

Where did you mount the hockey puck antenna on your beetle convertible? Right now it's mounted on the trunk and looks ugly. It's one inch to the left of the VW logo and 3 inches down from the top of the trunk. Any suggestions out there?

the stock one is part of the dashboard. It's like a mound on the middle panel. So maybe right there on the dash if you want it sort of inconspicuous. If it's magnetic, maybe glueing/taping a washer or something to the underside will help. Or if it works, just mount the antenna under the plastic.

That's the perfect place to hide something like that! Under my center dash section (which already has the built-in XM antenna under the bubble), I also have my GPS remote antenna, my TollTag (like an EZPass, if you know what those are... to go through toll booths in our area without having to stop and throw coins at a basket or a person), and my garage door opener (remotely controlled by a push button under the plastic gizmo opposite the bud vase, on the left side of the steering wheel). All the stuff is hidden, secure, and the plastic cover is electronically transparent, so everything works like it's supposed to...
