Default Best integrated replacement head unit...

looking to replace just the head unit for something which looks seamless and gives me more options for aux input with CD stacker functionality as well. Also an improvement in audio over the stock monsoon head would be nice Pics if you have them would give me an idea of what to show the install guys at BB.

TY

If you want seamless, go with factory Vdub stuff. You can always mod the CD changer cable to accept a line in the way you are.

Becker radios look pretty stock or Blaupunkt. If you can live with a none stock look I would take an Alpine HU - they have full Ipod support and some can change the illumination color (I set mine to red - that matches the rest of the console lighting) Or you mod the console a little with glass-fibre - I've seen it in a Pioneer promo car (Beetle ) - looks great.

you wouldn't want the guys at bestbuy doing the install we have in our NB.

Honestly find a deck you like, not deck is going to look factory in a NB dash without a lot of modification (mainly molding in the aftermarket deck surround into the center dash).

With that said I personally like Pioneer, good decks, IPOD integration has gonna really good for them. Their new IPOD and Bluetooth deck (both built into the function of the deck) is under 300 now.

Crutchfield has a great kit that adapts a DIN unit to the NB dash. Looks really good. I used one to mount a Blaupunkt unit with blue and red lighting in a '98 NB that looked almost stock.
