Default Monsoon Amp ?'s

Will an amp from any year work? I seem to remember some sort of change in one of the years.

Need one for the '04 vert. I'd tell u why, but I don't like being laughed at.

Lemme guess, you installed a deck and used the speaker outs to drive the amp?

We all have our dumb days.

Ok, so it's been 10 days and I'm still getting just a soft 'puh puh puh puh' sound out of the HU. HU is lit, u can change radio channels and settings and such, cd changer is lit too, u can pop cd's in and out. Do u think it's the HU or the amp that's fried?

i would replace the amp first since its a cheap start to your problem. and if that doesnt work you need to look twice as hard for that turbo s cd player you want.

that actually won't kill the amp, it can blow speakers though.

I would guess it's the amp, but could be either. Thinking if the deck took on enough water to damage the outputs you would be seeing other issues as well (or it would have just blown the fuse).

Only issue I had was the battery was dead on Monday, but after a jump it was ok again.

Picked up a used amp on e-bay today, it's just plug and play, right?
