Default Aux-in Jack Port

Does anybody know if my 2000 Beetle has an aux-in jack port located anywhere?

I currently have the stadard VW in-build Cassette stereo with a 6 disc multi changer in the boot/trunk?

Cheers, SMM

Not sure. I *think* they appeared in '05 or '06 model years??

You can add one easily enough though. Install a multiple source auxiliary input converter to your cd-changer connection in the trunk.

A few examples are the PIE or Soundgate devices near the bottom of the page here

Shouldn't. My wife installed a jack in her 2000. It is just an audio cable snaked out behind console that mates to the CD changer plug. I'll ask her where she got it. I'd like to find a way to install a jack while retaining the CD changer. I listen to a lot of audio books from libraries, so nice to have tape and CD available, as well as a direct hookup for the Ipod. Also, like to keep the original head unit (planning on 1998 retro display for VW shows a couple decades down the road, lol.)

Cool, Thank you for your help. Did you have the chance to speak to your wife regarding this?
