Unhappy RADIO HELP! I dont know what else to do..

hello guys!
I've been reading here for such a long time now trying to figure out this radio situation I am having!

Well let me tell you guys whats going on..

I bought a Factory Volkswagen New Beetle Radio, I went to the dealership to get the code for it, they printed it out and gave it to me.
I went home, tried the code along with holding down the ">" and the "scan" button. Nothing worked it would say safe "1"

So i was reading to just hold down the ">" button i tried that and then sadly i got the safe "2" ):
this one was the closest i got because it would say safe and you would hear like the radio signal would come in and then leave.. ):

NOTHING WORKS! I took it to the dealership, and they just gave me ANOTHER CODE which doesn't even work.

Even the guy who worked there tried it.. and it didn't work which is when he gave me the new code.. ):

i dont know know what else to do! does anyone know whats going on?

your help would be appreciated thanks alot guys for your time (:

UPDATE: I FIGURED OUT WHAT WAS WRONG. I looked back and the dealership gave me the wrong code for the radio cause i was looking at the radio serial number and comparing with the radio they gave me on the paper and they didnt match on neither of the two codes they gave me.. !

she said that she bought a factory radio for her car..

How many digits is your code?

I think you're supposed to put them in like this.. Say the code is 1234, you hit the 1 button once, 2 button two times, 3 button three times and the 4 button four times. Does that make sense?

This is going to sound bizarre but this is my story:

I lost my original radio card somehow, and not knowing it was missing I popped my radio out to install an iPod adapter. So it asked for the code when everything was all put back together. I couldn't find the radio card so I went looking elsewhere for it and I found an info card stuck to the inside of my trunk underneath the carpet by my spare tire. There was a random 4 digit code on it and I when I put it into the radio it unlocked and has never asked for a radio code again!

The dealership couldn't justify it either, but not even a call to VW Canada could explain what that code is, and I have seen those stickers in the trunks of other VW's so I'm not alone.

Is the radio card important? I got one when I bought the car but it was not filled out (i.e. it's blank). Do I need to go back to my dealership and get the code?

It's very important because if in the future you remove(disconnect) the radio for whatever reason or if you battery dies, when power is connected or restored, your radio will ask for the code. Also if you ever decide to sell the radio the code will have to go with it, because it's useless without it.

I once removed power to the car, but when it came back on it never asked me for the code...

Along those lines, if you can't get that radio to work, I'll send you my factory radio for free, assuming you pay shipping. I'll throw in the CD changer too for another $20.
