Getting the panel off isn't that terrible once you know where to look for its anchor locations. You just need three screwdrivers. First thing is pop off the front part of the grab handle in the middle of the door. I know that mine had little indentations which I used to get a small flat-bladed screwdriver in to pop off the cover. Behind it are two phillips screws (or at least were phillips in mine). And then look at the very bottom of the doorpanel where it buts against the door. You may have to lay on the floor/driveway to see, but on the very bottom, there are three torx screws, which I can't remember the size offhand.
After that, it should be loose, i tend to hold it against the door by the grab handle area so that when the last screw is off it doesn't just drop off the door and snag the wiring. Easily lift it up so it will clear the door lock button on the top. Watch though, because the cords going to the various things, such as the door handle, window controls, trunk, gas flap, and light are somewhat on the short side in terms of length. If I were near my car, I'd be happy to take pictures. Be sure to remember where things go, as the shop that replaced the window regulator on my car in it's previous owners hands had the trunk and gas flap buttons wired backwards. Had me bamboozled until I realized what happened. But that's essentially all there is to it. And I believe Bentley says Assembly is reverse of disassembly er something of that sort.
