Hey everybody. Ive got some wiring troubles. I have a 2002 1.8T Beetle and my radio died. It was aftermarket. I installed a new one and still dead. I have checked under hood links etc and the fuse panel. All good. Breaker/fuse on back of head unit intact. I guess my question is this.
Is there a in-line fuse behind the dash somewhere that I am not aware of? When the radio died, I believe I heard a small pop noise from inside somewhere. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. P.S. Either the previous owner was cheap and lazy or the radio was previously stolen as I have no factory wiring terminals to hook to. All hacked off but it worked for a long time as was just another factoid for consideration. |

In my "Haynes" Book it shows two fuses for the audio system.....
Fuse #37-10amp hot with key in ignition. it's Brown/Red Fuse #42-25amp hot all the time. it's Red/White The ground is the Brown wire. Hope this helps and good luck. |
