yes unfortunately your cd changer will not work with an after-market radio. however all your speakers will most definitely work with whatever radio you choose. Trust me i am an MECP Certified installer at one of the local audio shops in my area (its what i do) The only reason why he/she might have said that about your speakers not working is that they were basically telling you that (in not so many words) they are too lazy to fully bypass/integrate your factory amp.

If it were me i would look around at more shops to find someplace with an MECP installer, that way you can be assured you are getting the best quality in parts and installation.

Hope this helps.

Default Oh and..

to answer your other post about getting a radio to look right in your factory spot.

1. do not buy a radio with a motorized face ( it needs to be a manual flip face or front loading one. otherwise you will have to take your trim panel off every time you want to load a c.d.)
2. also you will need a 40vw10 antennae adapter, a european wiring harness (cant remember part number off the top of my head... sorry) and a dash kit. DO NOT get any of these things at stores that sell food, home furnishings, and clothes in the same place. I.E walmart and target. they are crap and very unreliable.
3. if you plan on doing the install yourself please use butt connectors or solder and heatshrink all connections( preferably the later ). it will save you a lot of trouble in the future. do not just twist the wires together and electrical tape them. it works but not for long... trust me

Oh and if you buy a blaupunkt c.d player you can skip a lot of the hassle. it come with connections that plug straight into you factory harness. SWEETNESS!!
Hope that helps
