Question Monsoon or other

I have a 2003 Beetle Convertible. The previous owner has taken off the factory installed sound system and replaced it with a newer one. It is not the same shape as the factory and so doesn't fit well. Is there someplace I can get a plate to cover the sides so it looks flushed in? Also as it's a convertible, it doesn't have an antenna and the radio is bad. I wanted to get a satellite radio. Should I get a monsoon radio with satellite or just get a satellite radio attached to the current one? Where can I find a factory radio? How do I connect the satellite radio to the current one?
HELP!!! I am really confused.

Try Crutchfield.com, they might have something for the faceplate. As per the Satellite, it is strictly up to how much $$ you want to spend. If you don't want to shell out lots on money, then get the add-on SAT receiver that attaches to your current radio. It is probably wireless using low frequency band of the FM radio.

As per Monsoon, I have Monsoon with SAT and MP3. Monsoon specify an amplifier, and I believe different speakers than the stock radio. I am not a big fan of stock radio from VW. Probably the reason the previous owner swapped it out with an aftermarket.
