i bought a new monsoon ( to replace the existing one) is it fairly easy to do ?

I just did it last weekend and it was fairly straight forward. Just be patient with the two bigger plugs as you get just enough wire slack to get your finger tips on the release catches.

You can make it easier by removing the switch panel below the console. I think there are 4 screws holding it on. With it removed you can reach behind the radio and push the wires up so there is more slack.

Radio from a 2006 or newer, i.e. canbus system, will fit and connect, but it won't work very well in an earlier car.
