Anyone have any experience with this dash kit?

I purchased a new head unit for my wife's 05 Beetle. Crutchfield included wiring harness, antenna adapter, dash kit, and all that jazz for free.

I've heard some dash kits will allow for a flip down face plate and some will not. How about this one?http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Produ...tab=review#tab

If not, where can I get one that will?

initially purchased a Blaupunkt head unit w/flip down face from Crutchfield & the associated gear a couple of years ago.

the flip-down faceplate setup didn't work for me...faceplate wouldn't go down all the way.

i said to heck with it and exchanged the Blaupunkt head for a JVC headunit with a pass-thru face...exchange process with Crutchfield was painless.

What about this kit from Scosche? Does anyone know if it will allow for a flip down face?
