Default Adding the Auxillary Input Port

Hey Everyone;

I don't know if there is any interest in this or not, but I thought that I would ask....

I am going to be installing an Auxillary Audio Input in my 2003 New Beetle...this is something that all of the new New Beetles have, as well as the Rabbit and Jetta. I find that the iPod harness is far to expensive, and I would rather keep my CD Changer. So, with all of this in mind, I thought that I would add the Auxillary Audio Input port. It is not an expensive part, and I thought that I would see if you folks would want me to photograph the process of installing the harness so that you too can add this gadget to your Beetle.

If there is any interest, please send me a reply here!

Thanks;

Peter

Hi There;

The Auxillary Input is actually only designed to work with the stock Volkswagen radio....aftermarket radios will not work, as they have a different connector on the back of the radio.

Sorry....

Is this going to be a USB-type plug or headphone style plug?

Sounds good, I have an ancient Blitzsafe in Rodney, but Felix needs a good hookup...

Do it!!!

I'm in the same boat, having the CD player but wanting to hear my iPod through the speakers. FM adapters just don't sound good to me... and I've tried a bunch.
