I am attempting to modify my non-monsoon headunit(2000 Beetle)by adding a wired inpout for an iPod and need the radio schematic or some knowledgeable advice.
The tape deck is never used so I disconnected the tape audio circuit at the input of the audio selector chip on the main circuit board. I have located and disconected the outputs of the dolby preamp for the tape deck and spliced in an audio input plug. The plug input now substitutes for the tape deck at the input of the audio selector circuit. I have removed the tape transport mechanism. The problem is that I get a "tape error" and need to trick out the main processor to think that it is playing a tape. There must be a "tape in" switch somewhere that I need to jumper. Any suggestions? Thanks thanks |
