I bought one of the Thunderforms that has the amp built in, and I love it! FWIW, I am a bass head, I learned how to play bass 'cause I loved bass so much. I still wanted to keep as much trunk space as I could, and didn't want to spend the money on the subwoofer that sits in the spare tire.

This does very well for what it is!

You ever get yours installed?

I have the same box but I got mine for $50 empty... I put in a Rockford Fosgate P2 10" sub and am running a 300 watt Pioneer amp into it and it's awesome

Where did you get the box? I've got a box that I'm going to "make due" with until I can get a better one. And if that box fits a 10" that'll be PERFECT!

thats cool as hell, i'd love to have one instead of my infinity bass link (which sounds great, just takes up room).

This box taxes up MORE room than an Infinity Basslink.

This is how big this box is and how it fits in my car.

It easily sucks up about 1/3 of your trunk.

I'm considering selling mine and making a custom enclosure to go in the spare tire well. Like the JBL version that fits under the spare tire and raises the floor about an inch. But I don't want to pay $400-700 for the JBL version. So I'll do my own *lol*.

my bass link lays flat so it's foot print is a little larger than that. for some reason i thought that thing replaced one of the trim panels. now it doesn't seem as neat as i thought.

audio isn't my game though. i don't even have a back seat. lol

well if you do sell it, let me know. I think the small boxes we have (used to go in a small truck i think), will take more space. but we'll see.

Ok

The one problem with these boxes, is it blocks the light that is in the corner. So, with it in, if you open your trunk at night, you are without light

If I can find someone locally to teach me fiberglass, I'll do my own enclosure under the floor

I've got the powered MTX in my NB. The light isn't completely blocked. There is a hole to allow light to pass through. I've never had any issues with mine. YMMV

As far as taking up space... I play guitar, and I usually take 2 guitars, one amp, my effects pedalboard, and a bag of misc cables, strings, batteries. The pedalboard and the bag of stuff go in the trunk. Two guitars in the back seat. The amp sits on the passenger seat. I pile it in there. I wouldn't really be able to get anything more of any consequence in my car without the sub. It's an effective solution for me.
