Question Subs in a New Beetle Trunk

I was just wondering if a standard box housing two "10 subs would fit in the trunk of a 2001 new beetle or if a custom box has to be made.

Custom as in built to fit but not show. It however has rendered access to my spare tire impossible. On the other hand, I can listen to awesome tunage till the AAA tow truck guy shows up

i have an infinity basslink i plan on putting in the convertible. might be a better fit than a box should still be able to get to the spare if i have to as well.

hardtop obviously will have less of a problem than convertibles, but it's still an awkward shape to house a standard sub box.

Any particular reason you used my pic? Could have used one of your vert, or added a smily if indeed you were making a joke. Another pathetic reply that doesn't address the topic that was posted. Isn't it time to go change a reed or something

i have a custom box that contours my back seats and lies flush with them, therefore i conserve max trunk space, i could fit maybe a couple skatboards in the room i still have in my trunk. And still manage to have 2 12" CV-R's in there

I was trying really hard not ro reply since it doesn't benefit this thread but since you saw fit to continue, I'll add one last comment that doesn't relate to this topic. Instead of cutting and pasting so my comment looks derogatory why not have linked to the thread? Probably because post #7 by me stated that it was said tongue in cheek. You want to continue with me, do it via PM and not clutter up someone elses thread. But I'll guess you won't and I apologize to the original poster.

my question to all of you is this...

Do any of you have a standard box that is NOT custom?? I'm just wondering if my box will fit in my trunk because i don't have my box or my car I have no way of telling...

I just have a one 10" in a ported box and it hits plenty hard. If I need to get to the spare tire area, I just unhook the sub and take it out. I think the inability to use the trunk would suck too much. And I mounted my amp on the backside of the backseat. Works out great.

Got 2 x 12" in mine,

Oh and all i did was go out and buy it, drop it in the boot
and attatch the 2 amps and power cap to the backseats.

All fits no problem and mines a 2001 too

Took this video before i changed everything Orange
