Hi,
I was told that DTC codes could not be read by any code reader if the factory radio has been removed and replaced with an aftermarket radio. Is this true? Do I have to reinstall the factory radio to read the check engine codes? Thank you, |

Go to the VAG COM website and read what they have to say.
http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/aftermarket-radio.html It has to do with there being power on a wire that VAG COM is not expecting to be powered. I don't know about regular code readers. |
