Default Radio stuck, please Help!

Hello all,

I am trying to remove the radio to get the dash off and work on the ac switch.

Anyways, I have the removal keys. I put the right one in and it latches. I put the left on in and it just slids right through. It doesn't catch any thing, or have any resistance like the other side.

I have tried locking in the right side, and pulling, but no, the left is holding it in.

Any one have this issue and know how to fix it. Really need help on this one.

Thanks!

If you have a tape slot, push the radio keys in correctly and just grab the take slot with your fingers and pull it straight back.

Here's what I do.
Get a metal nail file.
Yes, for the nails on the ends of your fingers.

Slide it into the right hand slot, wiggle & push lightly and pull lightly on the radio through the cassette slot.

This should pop-out/release the right side of the radio.

Do the same with the left side.

Be patient, it may take a few tries.

Thanks for the replies.

I have tried inserting the key and pulling on the tape deck, but no luck. They key doesn't seem to be hitting anything, it just slides in and slides out with no pressure.

Scott, I will try the nail file. Hope this works out for me.

Thanks
