I have a '99 VW non-Monsoon casette player. One of the 8 pin plugs on the back has pre-amp level outputs that I use. It's located at the other end from the 8-pin CD changer plug (blue). I would like to upgrade to a 1-DIN VW CD player which I think are all Monsoon.
I've found a couple on e-bay. Some have "SAT/CAT+/CAT-" buttons and others have "CDP/FLD+/FLD-" buttons instead. All seem to have the same mechanical connections as my deck, but someone told me the pre-amp out signals were replaced with CAN signals. Is this true for all the Monsoon CD players? Thanks! |
